It's been a very busy month this month both with my R2 Build and just with life in general. Working 3 jobs with hopefully a 4th on the way!
For all of you who have liked my Facebook page, you may have noticed that I have now got a lovely 3D Printer. For those who haven't, well, shame on you!
But I'm trying to figure out how it all works and what the best settings are for my prints and I've printed a few little bits for my droid as you can see below.
They're not perfect and I will probably have to redo them eventually but for now they are great! Big thank you to my wonderful parents for the early birthday
present!
I also almost finished my Teeces, but then I didn't and for once it wasn't anything to do with me! I ordered the parts from a company in Hong Kong which as
you would expect take a little while to get here. A month later, here in the UK we've had some pretty strange weather, a bit of Tatooine and then Kamino now
and then and my package has been delayed and then I was told it's been lost so when I get paid again I'll spend a bit more money and get them from the UK
instead. Typically, though the parts I'm waiting for are the final ones to put on the board for example the screw terminals and the headers for the Arduino.
Also! I had my arm twist into buying some legs (by that I mean my friend Darren offered and I had no strength to say no) so at the moment I'm drilling the
correct holes and when I get paid I'll be grabbing some of those T Nuts or whatever they're called to fix it all together. Still figuring out how it
all fixes to be body which brings me to my next update...
To start with I've changed my mind about R2 being a 2-3-2 droid straight away because looking at it, it's VERY complicated!.
Just going to leave him as a 3 legged droid for now and play about with that at a later date when I have a better understanding of how it works.
That's about it for this month, thank you to everyone who has kept up to date with this page, I know it isn't the greatest Build Log out there but
I like it and that's all that matters!
