I always print with supports, you never know if the designer of the files has gotten every part correct and sometimes all it takes is one
little thing to really mess up the prints. Now that is not a dig at any designers, I know that job is pretty tricky and sometimes things
get missed. Most printers will cope with it and be able to deal with it, mine on the other hand... well you just need to look back at my
R2 Build to see and the fun I have had with my printer.
I've printed a few of the dome panels with supports and I have found they are a huge pain to get off to the point where I'm sure I'll damage them trying to get them off with a scraper. The option to get around that would be firstly to not use supports when printing. The second option I have would be to try to sand it back as much as I can which is time consuming and then fill over the remaining support material.
On a positive note though I'm really happy with how it's coming together, prints for the panels aren't too long and they print nicely!
